Flourish Education are recruiting for a SEND Teaching Assistant to work in the Edgbaston area at a 1-form entry Primary School. This Teaching Assistant role is to work within EYFS supporting children with complex needs.
We are looking for a candidate with experience supporting children with Autism and challenging behaviour. Additional SEND qualifications are desirable.
This role is part-time, working Monday to Wednesday. The role is due to start immediately and will continue until July 2026.
Responsibilities as a SEND Teaching Assistant:
- Supporting children with complex SEND needs within EYFS
- Working closely with the class teacher and SEND team
- Supporting children with Autism and challenging behaviour
- Helping to create a safe, engaging and supportive learning environment
- Following the school’s policies and procedures
Required Skills and Experience:
- Hold a Level 2 or Level 3 qualification
- Good knowledge and experience of working with SEND
- Experience working in Nurseries or Primary Schools as a Teaching Assistant or LSA
- Experience supporting children with Autism and challenging behaviour
- A DBS on the update service or issued within the last 12 months
- A minimum of 2 excellent references
