Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Delivery Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods from our warehouse to various locations, ensuring timely and safe delivery. This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to handle heavy lifting, making it ideal for individuals who enjoy being on the move and working independently.
Responsibilities
- Drive a delivery van to transport goods to designated locations.
- Load and unload items from the vehicle, ensuring safe handling of all products.
- Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including signatures and any discrepancies.
- Conduct routine checks on the vehicle to ensure it is in good working order, reporting any maintenance needs promptly.
- Adhere to all road safety regulations and company policies while driving.
- Assist in the warehouse as needed, including inventory management and organisation of stock.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role is preferred.
- Valid driving licence with a clean driving record; commercial driving experience is a plus.
- Ability to lift heavy items safely and efficiently.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Familiarity with local routes and traffic patterns is advantageous.
- A proactive attitude with excellent time management skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
