Supply Teaching Assistant
Location: Opportunities across the North East
Hours: flexi hours, zero-hours contract
We are seeking enthusiastic, adaptable, and reliable Supply Teaching Assistants to support schools across the North East. Opportunities are available within Primary, Secondary, and alternative education provisions (including SEN, PRU and SEMH), supporting pupils with a range of learning, behavioural, and additional needs.
This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals looking for flexible, zero-hour work that can fit around other commitments. The role may particularly suit university students, weekend workers, aspiring teachers, or those looking to build upon their experience within education.

The Role:
- Support pupils within classroom settings on a 1:1, small group, or general classroom basis
- Assist teaching staff in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons
- Support pupils with additional learning, behavioural, or emotional needs where required
- Work across a variety of school settings including Primary, Secondary, and SEN provisions
- Adapt confidently to different school environments and age groups
- Promote positive behaviour and support pupil engagement in learning
The Ideal Candidate Will:
- Have experience working with children or young people in any capacity (education, coaching, care, youth work, tutoring, mentoring, etc.)
- Be adaptable, proactive, and confident working in different school settings
- Demonstrate strong communication and teamwork skills
- Be reliable, punctual, and professional
- Have a genuine interest in supporting children and young people
- Previous school-based experience is desirable but not essential
