About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented AOI Inspection Operator to join our Production team. You will be responsible for inspecting printed circuit board assemblies (PCBA) using 3D Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) systems, ensuring all products meet IPC and customer quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate 3D AOI inspection equipment
- Identify and review non-conforming products
- Complete first-off inspections using drawings, BOMs, and datasheets
- Work closely with SMT Operators to resolve quality issues
- Record defects and inspection results using internal systems
- Follow IPC standards, ESD procedures, and health & safety requirements
- Participate in daily team briefings and support production priorities
Skills & Experience
Essential:
- Previous inspection experience (IPC-A-610 awareness)
- Good computer literacy
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Desirable:
- PCB inspection or assembly experience
- Ability to read engineering drawings and BOMs
- Knowledge of electronic components (resistors, capacitors, ICs)
- Understanding of quality control processes

Pay: £12.71-£13.50 per hour
