Job Summary

Responsibilities
- Safely operate delivery vehicles, including lorries and vans, adhering to all road safety regulations and company policies
- Plan and follow efficient delivery routes to meet scheduling deadlines
- Load and unload goods, often requiring heavy lifting and manual handling
- Ensure all deliveries are completed accurately and in good condition
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and vehicle maintenance needs
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and team members regarding delivery schedules or issues
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections to ensure safety standards are met and report any defects or concerns promptly
- Assist in warehouse tasks when required, including stock organisation and inventory checks
Skills
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in commercial driving roles
- Strong knowledge of driving regulations and safety procedures within the UK
- Experience with warehouse operations and heavy lifting techniques
- Excellent communication skills for liaising with clients and team members effectively
- Organisation skills to plan routes efficiently and manage schedules reliably
- Ability to handle physically demanding tasks such as lifting heavy items safely
- Reliable, punctual, with a professional attitude towards customer service and teamwork
