As Prep Chef, you will play an important role in our kitchen team, ensuring ingredients are prepared to the highest standards and ready for service. Working alongside our senior chefs, you will help maintain an organised and efficient kitchen while supporting the smooth day-to-day operation of our culinary team. What You'll Be Doing:
- Prepare ingredients including vegetables, meats, fish, sauces and garnishes ready for service.
- Assist with food preparation across all sections of the kitchen as directed by senior chefs.
- Ensure all food is prepared and stored in line with recipes, specifications and food safety standards.
- Adhere strictly to all food safety and hygiene regulations.
- Monitor stock levels, rotate stock correctly and assist with deliveries.
- Maintain a clean, organised and well-stocked preparation area at all times.
- Support the wider kitchen team to ensure the smooth running of service.
What We're Looking For:
- Previous experience in a kitchen or food preparation role is desirable, although full training can be provided for the right candidate.
- Previous experience at Chef de Partie level or above is essential
- A genuine passion for food and a willingness to learn and develop your culinary skills.
- Ability to work efficiently and calmly in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Good communication skills and a positive team-player attitude.
- Reliable, punctual and committed to maintaining high standards.
- Understanding of food hygiene and safe food handling practices is desirable.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends and holidays.
