Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to support children with special educational needs within our inclusive learning environment. The successful candidate will work closely with teachers, pupils, and families to facilitate personalised learning experiences. Duties
- Assist teachers in delivering tailored educational programmes for pupils with special needs, including autism and other disabilities
- Support children in their daily activities, including classroom tasks, social interactions, and behavioural management
- Provide one-to-one support for children with specific needs, ensuring they are engaged and included in all activities
- Help facilitate communication between children and staff, employing effective communication skills and patience
- Support with toddler care where applicable, ensuring a nurturing environment for younger children
- Assist in the organisation of learning materials and resources to optimise educational outcomes
- Monitor and record progress of pupils, providing feedback to teachers and parents as required
- Foster positive behaviour and social skills through encouragement and appropriate intervention
Experience
- Prior experience working with children in educational or care settings is desirable
- Experience working with individuals with autism or other disabilities is highly advantageous
- Knowledge of special education practices and strategies to support diverse learning needs
- Familiarity with toddler care is a plus but not essential
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, colleagues, and families
- A compassionate approach combined with organisational skills to support individualised learning plans

Pay: £100.00-£130.00 per day
