Since the 1970’s we have been serving the people of Irthlingborough with their health needs. Over the years we have grown and now have 48 staff members assisting 11600 patients in Irthlingborough and the surrounding villages from two dedicated medical centres.
Working predominantly as part of the reception team you need to be flexible and be able to work along side others as part of a team, for whom supporting each other is very important. The right candidate will work 26.25 hours per week over 5 days in a 2 week rolling shift pattern between 8 to 1.15 and 1.15 to 6.30.
As a Medical Receptionist you will serve as the first point of contact for patients, ensuring a welcoming and efficient experience. Experience in primary care or similar will be highly advantageous. You will be helping patients who are feeling unwell and are concerned about their health therefore you must be a caring, trustworthy person who has compassion and understanding.
A large part of the role involves using computers, so having basic skills would be an advantage however we will give you the information required and help you develop the skills you need to provide the best possible service to our patients. The role involves guiding patient though their journey at the surgery, from helping them registering, booking appointments, arriving at the surgery, and sorting any follow up required, all whilst answering any questions along the way.
If you would like to visit the surgery or find out a bit more about the team and the role, please contact Christina Lawrence the lead receptionist on 01933650593.
