Job Overview- (Mobile Windscreen Technician- Essex based)
Due to company expansion and successful growth; Nationwide Vehicle Assistance are seeking to employ a skilled and reliable Mobile Windscreen Technician to carry out windscreen repairs and replacements at customer locations, including homes, workplaces, and roadside sites. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality workmanship, excellent customer service, and uphold safety standards while working independently in a mobile environment.
The hours of work are Monday- Friday 8am-5pm and 1 in 4 Saturdays 8am-12pm. This will be covering the Essex and surrounding areas.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out windscreen repairs (stone chips and minor cracks)
- Remove and replace windscreens on a wide range of vehicles
- Recalibrate ADAS systems where required
- Safely operate tools, equipment, and materials
- Travel to customer locations using a company vehicle
- Complete job documentation and digital reports accurately
- Liaise with customers in a professional and friendly manner
- Follow health & safety and company procedures at all times
- Manage stock, tools, and vehicle cleanliness
- Work with insurance claims and job bookings where required
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience as a windscreen or automotive glass technician
- Knowledge of vehicle glass systems and fitting techniques
- Ability to work independently and manage daily workloads
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Basic IT skills for job apps, invoicing, or reporting
Qualifications & Requirements
- Full, valid driving licence
- IMI Auto Glazing Bodyshop Technician (required)
- Relevant windscreen fitting certification or equivalent experience
- IMI ADAS calibration (required)
- Ability to pass background checks if required
