Summary
We are seeking dedicated Support Workers to join our team at our residential services in the Byfield area. We are looking for Bank Day and Night Support Workers. In this role, you will play a crucial part in enhancing the lives of our residents by providing compassionate care and support tailored to their individual needs. You will have the opportunity to join a very friendly and passionate care team who are dedicated to making a real difference to those they support.
Responsibilities
- Provide personalised support to residents, assisting them with some living activities.
- Foster a positive and nurturing environment that promotes independence.
- Assist with medication administration if and where necessary and be supportive in emergency situations to maintain safety
- Maintain accurate records of resident progress and any incidents.
- Participate in training sessions and team meetings to enhance service delivery.
- Support individuals to access their local communities such as coffee mornings, local towns, events
- Have the opportunity to support individuals on holidays, outings
- Monitor individuals throughout the night, with care some record keeping
- Qualifications
- Previous experience in care or similar caregiving roles is preferred but not essential as full training and support will be provided
- Strong understanding of patient care principles, particularly for individuals with learning disabilities
- Possess a compassionate approach to caregiving
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
- Flexibility to adapt to changing situations, resident needs and service needs
