If you are passionate about precision engineering, this international Design Manufacturer seeks a highly skilled CNC Setter/Operator to join a skilled and experienced team of tooling manufacturing operatives. Key Responsibilities
- To set and operate CNC lathes and milling machines to produce high-spec components.
- Someone who can Interpret detailed technical drawings to ensure accurate machining.
- Consistently work to tight tolerances while inspecting own work to ensure quality.
- Use lifting equipment for safe and efficient loading/unloading of components.
- Maintain a clean, tidy, and hazard-free workstation in line with HSE guidelines.
- Manage time effectively, balancing priorities to meet daily production targets.
- Demonstrate initiative and adaptability in a fast-paced, target-led setting.
- Conduct in-process inspection using appropriate measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges).
- Monitor machine performance and troubleshoot minor issues independently.
- Keep detailed production records and report any non-conformance.
- Collaborate with team leaders to meet production targets and optimise efficiency.
About you
- Proven experience in CNC lathe operation (ideally with Fanuc or Siemens controls).
- Strong understanding of engineering drawings and geometric tolerances.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to delivering consistent quality.
- Self-motivated, punctual, and comfortable working with minimal supervision.
- Flexible to working hours when meeting production timelines.
- Clear understanding of workplace safety procedures and best practices.
