About the role:
You will be working for a premier complex care provider that is CQC-regulated and nurse-led. The immediate requirement is for a paediatric complex care case, but this could change in future based on shifts available and requirements from other clients.
Days and waking night hours hours at £19ph
- 8am to 8pm 2:1 care
- 8pm to 8am 1:1 waking nights care
Responsibilities:
The client is a child under 10 with cerebral palsy and epilepsy and has complex health needs including PEG feeding, a ketogenic diet and Yankauer suctioning.
The current care package consists of 12‑hour double‑handed day shifts from 8am to 8pm, with one Romanian‑speaking care worker and a second care worker on each shift, plus 12‑hour wake‑in night shifts from 8pm to 8am.
A flexible working pattern is required, and the care professional must be able to drive a wheelchair‑accessible vehicle (WAV). Physiotherapy and hydrotherapy plans are already in place to support the client’s ongoing rehabilitation.
Skills:
- Excellent patient care skills with a focus on compassion and empathy.
- Experience working with complex care patients, especially children with Epilepsy, Cerebral palsy and PEG feeding.
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
