About the Role
We are currently recruiting for a Weekend Shunter Driver to join our busy transport operation. This role will involve moving trailers safely around the yard, positioning trailers onto loading bays, and supporting the smooth running of depot operations.
Previous TUG/shunter experience would be advantageous; however, full training will be provided for the right candidate.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking for weekend work within a fast-paced logistics environment.
Duties Include:
- Moving trailers safely within the yard
- Positioning trailers onto loading bays
- Carrying out vehicle and trailer safety checks
- Supporting loading and operational teams when required
- Maintaining high health & safety standards
- Communicating effectively with transport and warehouse teams
- Ensuring the yard remains organised and safe at all times
Essential Requirements:
- Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) Licence
- Valid Digital Tachograph Card
- Valid Driver CPC Qualification Card
- Good awareness of health & safety procedures
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
- Flexible attitude and willingness to learn
Desirable:
- Previous shunting or TUG experience
