Job Title: Fabric Engineer (Mobile Role)

Pay Rate: £19.00 per hour

Overview
We are currently seeking a skilled and reliable Fabric Engineer to join a growing facilities maintenance team working across commercial and residential sites in the East Midlands. This is a mobile role covering Leicester, Northampton, and Loughborough, with a fully equipped company van provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned and reactive fabric maintenance across multiple sites
- Perform general building repairs including basic carpentry, plumbing, painting, and patch repairs
- Inspect and report on building fabric condition and defects
- Ensure all work is completed safely and to a high standard
- Liaise with site contacts and helpdesk teams to update job progress
- Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicle responsibly
Requirements
- Previous experience in fabric engineering, building maintenance, or a similar trade role
- Strong all-round maintenance skills (carpentry, patch repairs, basic plumbing/painting)
- Full UK driving licence (essential)
- Ability to work independently and manage daily workload
- Good communication and problem-solving skills
- Basic understanding of health & safety procedures on site
