We are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established and growing transport business for an experienced HGV Workshop Technician / Mechanic to join their busy workshop operation based in Weeford.

The Role
Working within a fast-paced, time-critical distribution environment, you will be responsible for maintaining a fleet of approximately 90 vehicles and 30 trailers to the highest operational standards.
Key responsibilities include:
- Servicing, maintenance, and repair of HGVs and trailers
- Fault diagnostics and problem solving
- MOT preparation and compliance work
- Weekly and monthly vehicle inspections
- Mechanical and electrical repairs
- Ensuring vehicles remain roadworthy and operational at all times
Candidate Requirements
To be considered, you will ideally have:
- Previous experience as an HGV Technician, HGV Mechanic, or Heavy Plant Technician
- Level 3 qualification in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (preferred)
- Alternatively, be a fully time-served technician
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- Experience working on DAF, Volvo, MAN, and Renault vehicles
- Ability to work both independently and within a workshop team
