Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable Yard Operative with forklift driving experience to join our team. This role involves managing materials, operating warehouse equipment, and supporting daily logistics operations. Previous warehouse experience and mechanical knowledge are advantageous, as is familiarity with warehouse management systems. Responsibilities
- Operate forklift and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently to load, unload, and move materials
- Assist with shipping and receiving processes, including documentation and inventory management
- Support warehouse organisation by maintaining cleanliness and orderliness of work areas
- Perform heavy lifting tasks safely, adhering to health and safety regulations
- Assist in the loading and unloading of lorries, ensuring timely dispatch and receipt
Experience
- Proven experience in a warehouse environment or similar role is preferred
- Valid forklift licence with experience operating various types of forklifts
- Familiarity with materials handling techniques and safety procedures
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently throughout the shift
