We're recruiting on behalf of a leading regional law firm for an experienced Private Client Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive to join its highly regarded Private Client team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a lawyer with 5+ years' PQE to join a modern, supportive department that advises on a broad range of private client matters. You'll benefit from working alongside experienced colleagues while managing a varied and rewarding caseload, with genuine opportunities for career development and flexible working.
The Role
You'll provide expert advice across the full spectrum of Private Client work while building long-term relationships with clients and delivering exceptional service.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing a varied caseload of private client matters from instruction through to completion.
- Advising on:
- Wills.
- Probate and estate administration.
- Lasting Powers of Attorney.
- Trusts.
- Inheritance Tax planning.
- Lifetime planning.
- Court of Protection matters.
- Delivering practical, commercially focused legal advice tailored to clients' individual circumstances.
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships.
- Working collaboratively with colleagues across the wider Private Client team.
- Supporting business development initiatives and contributing to the continued success of the department.
- Keeping technical knowledge up to date through ongoing professional development.
About You
We're looking for someone who has:
- Qualified as a Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive (CILEX).
- A minimum of 5 years' PQE within Private Client.
- Strong technical knowledge across all aspects of Private Client law.
- Excellent client relationship and communication skills.
- A compassionate, approachable and professional manner.
- Strong commercial awareness and a proactive approach to business development.
- The ability to manage a busy caseload independently.
- A commitment to delivering outstanding client care.
- STEP qualification or a willingness to work towards it would be advantageous.
