Job Overview
Baskerville Hall is looking for a dependable and practical Maintenance Person to join our team. We have both full-time and part-time positions available.
The successful candidate will help maintain the building and surrounding grounds, carrying out a range of tasks to ensure the property remains safe, functional, and welcoming for guests and staff. The role will involve both indoor and outdoor work.
Please note: This position will start with a 3-month probation period.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out general maintenance and repair work throughout the building
- Perform basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and decorating tasks where required
- Maintain outdoor areas including pathways, car parks, and grounds
- Conduct routine inspections of facilities, equipment, and infrastructure
- Respond to maintenance issues and complete repairs in a timely manner
- Ensure all work is carried out safely and in line with health and safety guidelines
- Assist with seasonal outdoor tasks such as clearing leaves, debris, or snow
- Work with external contractors when specialist repairs are needed
- Maintain tools, equipment, and maintenance records where required
Skills and Experience
- Previous experience in maintenance, facilities, or handyman work preferred
- Practical skills across general building maintenance trades
- Ability to work independently and manage tasks efficiently
- Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Basic understanding of health and safety practices
- Physically capable of carrying out manual tasks and outdoor work

Working Hours
- Full-time and part-time roles available
- Hours and working pattern can be discussed during the interview
Pay: £12.71 per hour
