Job Advert: Assistant HGV Depot Manager

Basic Salary: £45,000 DOE
Hours: Monday - Friday 8:30 am to 5 pm - Weekends on rotation
Are you a Vehicle Technician who is ready to move into a more senior role?
We are recruiting for an Assistant Centre Manager to join a busy automotive service and repair centre in Reading. This is a hands-on role and would suit someone from a technical background who wants to develop into management while still being involved in the workshop.
You will work closely with the Centre Manager and receive training across the key areas of running a successful centre, including customer service, workshop operations, people management, sales, performance and administration.
This is a great opportunity for a Technician, Mechanic, Service Technician, MOT Tester or Senior Technician who is looking for progression.
You will support the daily running of the centre, help organise work through the workshop, deal with customer enquiries, support the team and carry out light vehicle servicing or repairs when needed.
We are looking for someone with a minimum Level 2 Light Vehicle qualification or equivalent experience, a positive attitude, strong customer service skills and the desire to move into a leadership role.
Previous management experience is not essential. This role is about potential, attitude and the willingness to learn.
