Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate In-House Therapist to join our Residential Care Home team. The successful candidate will provide specialised therapeutic support to residents, promoting their emotional well-being and overall quality of life. Duties
- Conduct individual and group therapy sessions tailored to residents’ needs, fostering emotional resilience and recovery
- Develop, review, and update personalised care plans in collaboration with residents, their families, and the care team
- Monitor residents’ progress and adapt therapeutic approaches accordingly to ensure effective outcomes
- Maintain accurate records of therapy sessions, progress notes, and care plan documentation in compliance with organisational policies
- Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams including carers, medical professionals, and social workers to coordinate holistic care
- Provide guidance and training to staff members on mental health issues and therapeutic techniques
- Promote a safe, supportive environment that encourages residents’ participation in therapeutic activities
Skills
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build trust and rapport with residents from diverse backgrounds
- Proficiency in IT systems for record keeping, reporting, and communication purposes
- Strong understanding of care plans and ability to integrate therapeutic interventions within personalised care strategies
- Empathy, patience, and organisational skills essential for working effectively within a residential care setting
- Ability to work independently whilst maintaining collaborative relationships with the wider care team
- Relevant qualifications in counselling, psychotherapy or related fields are desirable and essential; experience working within residential or mental health settings is preferred
Pay: £30,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
