As we continue to expand, we are looking for an ambitious Business Development Manager to drive growth by securing new clients, identifying opportunities, and building long-term business relationships.
About the Role
We are looking for a commercially driven Business Development Manager whose primary responsibility will be finding and winning new business.
This is a proactive sales role focused on generating leads, opening conversations with potential clients, pitching our event services, and converting opportunities into confirmed projects.
You will be responsible for growing our client base by identifying organisations that require event support and positioning our agency as their trusted event partner.
The ideal candidate is a confident communicator, a strong relationship builder, and someone who enjoys the challenge of creating opportunities and closing deals.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, approach, and secure new clients for the agency
- Research and develop new business opportunities across multiple sectors
- Generate leads through outreach, networking, LinkedIn, referrals, industry events, and market research
- Build relationships with key decision-makers including CEOs, directors, marketing teams, HR teams, associations, and corporate organisations
- Identify organisations planning events and introduce our services
- Arrange and attend client meetings (virtual and in-person)
- Present event solutions tailored to client requirements
- Prepare proposals, presentations, and commercial agreements
- Manage the complete sales process from first contact through to signed contract
- Negotiate agreements and successfully close new business
- Maintain an active pipeline of prospects and opportunities
- Develop strategic partnerships that create new revenue opportunities
- Represent the agency at networking events, exhibitions, and industry meetings
- Identify market trends and opportunities for business growth
Who We Are Looking For

- Proven experience in business development, sales, client acquisition, or account growth
- A strong ability to generate leads and create new opportunities
- Experience approaching and winning new clients
- Confidence communicating with senior decision-makers

- Strong organisation and pipeline management skills
Experience within events, exhibitions, conferences, marketing, hospitality, or a service-based industry is desirable but not essential.
