Disability Support Worker – Children & Young People’s Services
Location: Sheffield (S5 & S13)
Contracted Hours:
- Non-term time (school holidays): 4 or 5 days per week (24 or 30 hours)

All About YOU is excited to welcome compassionate and enthusiastic support workers to join our growing Children & Young People’s team.
We provide short-break, day-centre-based respite for young people aged 8–18 with additional support needs, across Sheffield. Our mission is to enrich lives, and as part of our team, you’ll play a vital role in delivering meaningful, person-centred care to every service user.
Your Role
As a Support Worker, you will:
- Ensure the safety and supervision of all service users during sessions
- Deliver high-quality physical, emotional, social, and intellectual care
- Create a stimulating, inclusive environment that supports personal growth and social development
- Provide tailored support based on individual needs and abilities
- Assist with eating and drinking, including dietary or texture modifications
- Deliver dignified personal care, including bathroom assistance and sanitary support
- Make balanced, age-appropriate risk assessments in planning activities
- Work closely with colleagues, families, and other professionals to support development
- Participate in reflective practice, team meetings, and maintain accurate records
- Uphold equality and inclusivity at all times
- Follow all responsibilities as set out in the company handbook
- Where required, be available for additional shifts, including weekends and at different Sheffield sites
- Undertake other relevant duties as required

- Responsible, committed, and able to work independently when needed
- Patient, empathetic, and sensitive to the needs of others
- Motivational and able to inspire confidence
- Capable of maintaining clear and accurate records (including medication and session reports)
- Experienced in care settings, especially with children or young people (strongly preferred)
