Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Yard Operative and Driver to join our team in East Kilbride. This role is vital in supporting our projects through efficient groundworks and transportation. This is a hands-on role where you can stay active and learn practical skills?
As a Yard Operative, you’ll play a key role in keeping our equipment, vehicles, and materials organised, safe, and ready to go. Join us to contribute to high-profile developments and help us maintain our reputation for excellence.
Responsibilities
- Keeping the yard clean, organised, and running smoothly
- Loading and unloading deliveries
- Preparing tools, equipment, and materials for sites
- Checking vehicles and equipment are safe and ready for use
- Operating forklifts and moving stock around the yard
- Keeping track of tools and equipment
- Supporting the wider team with day-to-day yard tasks.
Qualifications
- Reliable and hardworking with a positive attitude
- Someone who enjoys hands-on, practical work
- A team player who can also work independently
- Good awareness of health & safety regulations related to groundworks and driving roles.
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar driving role.
- Valid driving license.
- Good communication skills to liaise effectively with team members.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Preferred: Warehouse experience or familiarity with construction site operations.
