About Us
Nurturing Souls Care is opening a brand-new children’s residential home in Astley Bridge, Bolton — and we are building a team that genuinely wants to make a difference.
This is more than just a job. It’s an opportunity to help create a safe, stable, and nurturing home where children and young people can rebuild trust, develop resilience, and thrive.
You will work alongside an experienced Registered Manager and a supportive team committed to delivering high-quality care in line with Ofsted standards, the Children’s Homes Regulations 2015, and our therapeutic model based on PACE (Playfulness, Acceptance, Curiosity, Empathy) and trauma-informed practice.
The Role
As a Residential Support Worker, you will be at the heart of the home — building relationships, creating positive experiences, and supporting young people through both the everyday and the challenging moments.
No two days are the same. One day you could be supporting education and routines, the next helping a young person regulate their emotions, or planning activities that build confidence and independence.
Key Responsibilities
- Support children and young people with daily routines, independence, and life skills
- Provide consistent emotional support using trauma-informed and relational approaches
- Contribute to care planning, risk assessments, and behaviour support strategies
- Promote positive behaviour through strong, nurturing relationships aligned with PACE principles
- Plan and take part in meaningful activities that build confidence, trust, and resilience
- Maintain clear, accurate records in line with Ofsted and organisational expectations
- Work collaboratively with families, schools, social workers, and other professionals
- Safeguard children at all times in line with legislation and best practice
- Transport young people to school, appointments, and activities
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for people who are genuine, resilient, and committed — not just experienced.
If you can build relationships, stay calm under pressure, and bring consistency and care to young people who need it most, you’ll fit well here.
Essential
- A caring, patient, and consistent approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Understanding of safeguarding and professional boundaries
- Ability to manage challenging situations calmly and appropriately
- Full UK driving licence

Desirable
- Level 3 Diploma in Residential Child Care (or willingness to work towards)
- Experience in residential care, education, or youth work
- Experience supporting children with trauma, SEMH, or neurodiverse needs
What We Offer
- The chance to be part of a brand-new children’s home from day one
- A supportive, experienced, and approachable management team
- Full induction, structured training, and ongoing development
- Clear progression opportunities as the organisation grows
- A therapeutic, values-led culture where staff are genuinely supported
