Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Hard Landscaper to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for outdoor construction and landscape maintenance, with a strong focus on creating and maintaining aesthetically pleasing and functional outdoor spaces. This role offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects, from garden design to large-scale construction sites, contributing to the transformation of outdoor environments. Applicants should possess relevant experience in landscape work, mechanical knowledge, and proficiency with various tools and machinery.
Duties
- Execute landscape construction tasks including the installation of patios, pathways, walls, and other hardscape features
- Operate machinery such as excavators and power tools safely and efficiently
- Maintain existing landscapes through pruning, planting, and general gardening tasks
- Assist with irrigation system installation, repair, and maintenance
- Use hand tools for precise landscaping work and minor repairs
- Conduct site preparation activities including excavation, levelling, and soil conditioning
- Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects within specified timelines
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance
Experience
- Proven experience in landscape maintenance or construction roles, preferably with a focus on hardscaping projects
- Mechanical knowledge related to operating machinery such as excavators and power tools
- Familiarity with gardening, horticulture, and general landscaping principles
- Experience working with hand tools and power tools for various construction tasks
- Knowledge of irrigation systems installation and maintenance is desirable
- Ability to undertake physical labour in outdoor environments in all weather conditions
- Strong organisational skills with an eye for detail and quality workmanship
