Assembler (Looms Department)
Location: Chesterfield
Contract Type: Permanent
Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00am–3:30pm
Salary: Up to £30,000 per annum

Responsibilities:
- Precise hand-soldering of small electronic components
- Building sub-assemblies and supporting control panel builds
- Bench-testing systems and carrying out diagnostic checks
- Inspecting and quality-checking your own work
- Following detailed assembly instructions and maintaining accurate records
- Reporting faults and raising non-conformities
- Taking part in 5S initiatives and continuous improvement activities
- Operate loom machinery safely and efficiently
- Monitor production quality and make adjustments as needed
- Carry out basic machine maintenance
- Work closely with production teams to meet daily targets
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment
Experience and Skills:
- Previous experience in wiring harness / cable assembly / looms production
- Ability to read technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and schematics
- Skilled in crimping, soldering, terminating, and cable preparation
- Strong understanding of EMI considerations, shielding, and grounding
- High attention to detail and ability to work to tight tolerances
- Experience in electronics, aerospace, automotive, or similar precision industries is highly desirable
Desirable:
- NVQ in Electronics/Manufacturing
- CAN bus diagnostics or bench test experience
- Experience in bespoke, low-volume or high-mix assembly environments
