Healthcare Improvement Scotland is delighted to offer a range of exciting opportunities for talented Administrative Officers to join our organisation, initially within the Nursing and Integrated Care Directorate or Quality Assurance and Regulation Directorate.
These are permanent posts, offering a unique opportunity to gain broad experience across the organisation. Postholders will be assigned to a specific role for a period of between 6 months and 2 years, after which they will transition into a new assignment within another Directorate or priority area, supporting a variety of national programmes and workstreams.
As the national improvement agency for health and care in Scotland, Healthcare Improvement Scotland plays a key role in supporting improvements in frontline care, as well as leading large-scale transformation across the country. These roles will contribute to the delivery of high-impact, national work that shapes how health and care services are delivered across Scotland.
As an experienced Administrator, you will provide a range of services to support individuals and teams across the organisation to support the smooth running of the day-to-day business, which can involve:
-
Responding to enquiries and information requests
-
Supporting teams, meetings and events (online and in-person)
-
Circulation of meeting papers and recording actions
-
Taking minutes of meetings, tracking progress of and updating action points
-
Processing system transactions (such as purchase orders and invoices)

Proficiency with Microsoft Office products and online tools such as MS Teams is required to support hybrid working.
This is a great opportunity to invest your skills in Healthcare Improvement Scotland, knowing that what you do every day is making a real difference to the health and care outcomes for the people of Scotland.
