About the Role
One of Oxford’s most popular pub companies is expanding its team, and an exciting opportunity has arisen to join The Punter Oxford as a Duty Manager
This role is ideal for a supervisor looking to take the next step in their career, with a clear pathway to developing their skills in the position.
Working closely with the senior management team, you will support the day-to-day running of the pub, lead services, maintain standards, and provide excellent customer service to all guests.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the General Manager & senior management team in the daily management of the pub.
- Lead pub operations and manage busy services confidently
- Provide cover for the management team during absence
- Maintain consistently high drinks quality and presentation standards
- Train, mentor, and develop junior staff
- Ensure health, safety, and food hygiene standards are maintained at all times
What We’re Looking For:
- Current or previous experience in a busy, high-end pub or restaurant environment
- Minimum 2 years’ leadership role experience
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and work within a team
- Passionate about delivering excellent customer service experiences.
- Positive, proactive, and professional attitude
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced pub.
- Adaptable communicator who works well with both FOH teams and senior management
