Class 2 Driver – Northampton – Immediate Start – Weekday & Weekend Opportunities
Location: Northampton
Pay: £18.00 – £23.50 per hour
We are currently recruiting experienced and professional Class 2 (Cat C) Drivers to join a leading logistics operation based in Northampton.
You will be responsible for transporting goods across various routes from Northampton, completing store/customer deliveries (number of drops dependent on customer requirements), operating curtain side vehicles.
Key Responsibilities
- Carrying out daily vehicle checks in line with DVSA requirements
- Reporting vehicle defects and carrying out basic maintenance where required
- Securing loads to meet all safety and compliance standards
- Operating curtain side vehicles in line with customer needs
- Responding to traffic disruptions and rerouting when necessary
- Adhering to all vehicle compliance, driving regulations, and health & safety procedures
Job Details
- Immediate start available
- Weekend work available ASAP
- Day and night shifts available
Requirements
- Minimum 6 months’ experience as a Class 2 (Cat C) HGV driver
- Valid UK Class 2 licence, CPC, and Digital Tachograph Card
- No more than 6 penalty points
- Strong knowledge of the UK road network
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Must have valid right to work in the UK
