The Solution Architect role provides sales support and delivery leadership, guiding Infor consulting teams and customers on how to achieve success through industry best practice and effective solution design.
The Solution Architect ensures that the appropriate solution architecture is defined during the sales cycle and remains consistent through delivery, safeguarding scope integrity and enabling successful outcomes through to go-live.
They are accountable for ensuring that customers realise their desired business outcomes from their investment in Infor.
This role requires strong experience within the Food & Beverage industry, combined with enterprise ERP expertise and the ability to operate effectively in complex, global delivery environments.
Sales and Marketing Support:
- Engage collaboratively with Solution Consulting, Software Sales, and Services Sales on key opportunities
- Provide industry and business insight to shape customer solution approaches
- Define and recommend end-to-end solution architectures aligned to customer outcomes
- Ensure architecture artefacts are produced to a high standard and maintained in a structured repository
- Position Infor Industry Process Catalogues (IPC) and lead fit-to-standard discussions through Engage workshops
- Challenge unnecessary customisation, driving adoption of standard processes where appropriate
- Define solution scope, ensuring transparency of risks, costs, and deviations from standard
- Contribute to proposals, effort estimation, and customer presentations
Delivery:
- Establish and maintain strong stakeholder relationships at executive and senior management level
- Act as Design Authority, ensuring the delivered solution aligns with the agreed end-to-end architecture
- Identify and manage scope deviations, ensuring visibility internally and with the client
- Provide architectural leadership across all phases of delivery, including scope confirmation and blueprint
- Ensure consistency, quality, and maintainability of architecture artefacts
- Challenge existing business processes and propose pragmatic, value-driven solutions
- Perform solution quality assurance at key delivery milestones
- Validate that solution design meets both business value and technical objectives
- Support global delivery teams across multiple locations and time zones
- Drive adoption of standardised processes and support change acceptance across the programme
- Analyse customer systems and integration landscapes to optimise performance and reliability
Organisational Support and Practice Development:
- Contribute to the Architecture Competency Centre and wider practice development initiatives
- Share knowledge and mentor consultants, including early talent
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, Infor products, and technical roadmaps
- Support continuous improvement of architecture standards, frameworks, and tools
Innovation:
- Identify opportunities for emerging technologies (including AI) within customer environments
- Support development of business cases and Proof of Concepts (POCs)
- Provide feedback to product teams based on industry trends and customer requirements

Strong enterprise-level ERP architecture experience with a deep understanding of solution design principles
- Proven delivery experience across multiple full lifecycle ERP implementations (as Lead Consultant or Solution Architect)
- Experience working on complex ERP programmes, ideally SaaS / multi-tenant environments
- Working knowledge of manufacturing and/or MES systems, ideally within Food & Beverage
- Experience designing and managing complex, mission-critical, bi-directional integration landscapes
- Strong understanding of architecture across business, process, application, and data domains
- Experience managing cross-functional challenges and process variation across large programmes
- Strong understanding of delivery methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid)
- Experience working in global delivery models across multiple time zones and cultures (e.g. offshore teams such as Manila, Hyderabad)
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to engage at all levels
- UK-based or eligible to work in the UK

Experience with Infor M3 / CloudSuite implementations
- Strong Food & Beverage industry experience, with understanding of sector processes and challenges
- TOGAF certification (or equivalent architecture framework experience)
- Experience with Infor Velocity Suite and AI-driven business solutions
- Exposure to extended CloudSuite capabilities (e.g. GRC, SCP, EPM)
- Background in consulting (either client-side or with a services provider)
