New Opportunity - CNC Machinist / Programmer
Are you an experienced CNC Machinist with strong skills in setting and programming lathes?
Our client based in Mansfield is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist / Programmer to join their growing team. You will be responsible for operating CNC machinery to manufacture precision-engineered components for the drilling industry.
This is a hands-on role requiring strong experience in setting up CNC machines, programming, and producing high-quality components from technical engineering drawings.
As a CNC Machinist / Programmer, you will:
- Operate CNC machines to produce precision components
- Program CNC machines (lathe experience essential)
- Set up and run machining jobs from start to finish
- Read and interpret engineering drawings
- Carry out threading operations
- Work with steel to manufacture drill and rig components
To be successful in this role, you will need:
Essential:
- Previous hands-on experience in CNC machining, setting, and programming
- Experience working with CNC lathes
- Ability to read and interpret technical engineering drawings
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in CNC programming or machining (or similar qualification)
- Must be local to the Nottinghamshire / Derbyshire area
- Full UK driving licence
- Right to work in the UK
Desirable:
- Fanuc control experience (advantageous but not essential)
What's on Offer
- £30,000 - £35,000 per annum
- Full-time, permanent position
- Day shift working pattern - Monday to Thursday (8am - 5pm) and Friday (7am - 4pm)
