The Role
We’re looking for an experienced, driven Business Development Manager to grow our footprint across butchery, meat processing, and commercial kitchen equipment markets. This is a new business role — you’ll be out in the field building relationships and opening doors, not sat behind a desk handling inbound enquiries.
You’ll take ownership of your territory across the South East, Home Counties, and London, identifying and developing new commercial relationships and converting them into long-term customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Proactively generate new business pipeline through field-based prospecting, networking, and relationship building
- Identify and engage new commercial accounts within butchery, meat processing, and commercial kitchen sectors
- Sell new and refurbished equipment alongside ongoing service contracts
- Manage your own diary and territory to maximise face-to-face customer time
- Build a strong, sustainable pipeline of opportunities from cold and warm leads
- Represent the business professionally and consultatively, understanding customer needs and matching them to the right solutions
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience in business development or field sales, ideally within equipment, commercial catering, food processing, or a related B2B sector
- A genuine new-business hunter — confident generating your own leads rather than relying on inbound enquiries
- Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills
- Self-motivated, organised, and comfortable managing your own schedule
- Full UK driving licence
- Knowledge of butchery, meat processing, or commercial kitchen equipment is a strong advantage but not essential

- Basic salary of £36,000-£42,000, dependent on experience
