Job Overview:
We are looking for a reliable and compassionate Support Worker to support vulnerable adults within supported accommodation services while also assisting with office administration duties.
The role involves providing day-to-day support to residents, helping them maintain independence, attend appointments, manage tenancies, and access services. Alongside support work, the successful candidate will complete administrative tasks including record keeping, referrals, reporting, and communication with external agencies.
Key Responsibilities
Support Worker Duties
- Support vulnerable adults with daily living and independent living skills
- Carry out welfare checks and property visits
- Assist residents with appointments, benefits, housing applications, and budgeting
- Maintain professional boundaries and safeguarding standards
- Encourage positive engagement and wellbeing
- Support residents with move-ins and move-outs
- Liaise with local authorities, support agencies, probation services, and healthcare professionals
- Record support sessions and maintain accurate case notes
- Report safeguarding concerns, incidents, or maintenance issues promptly
Administration Duties
- Maintain accurate resident files and tenancy records
- Complete support plans, risk assessments, and incident reports
- Handle emails, phone calls, and appointment scheduling
- Update internal systems and spreadsheets
- Assist with referrals and onboarding documentation
- Prepare documents for housing benefit or council requests
- Support management with general office administration
- Ensure compliance paperwork is up to date
Skills & Experience
- Experience working with vulnerable adults or supported accommodation preferred
- Good communication and organisational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Basic IT skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, and email
- Understanding of safeguarding and confidentiality
- Calm and professional approach under pressure
- Full UK driving licence preferred but not essential

Requirements

Pay: £24,500.00-£28,160.00 per year
