Job Summary
We are looking for a driver to make deliveries and collections on behalf of The Pallet Network around the Lothians and Fife. You will be operating from our Livingston depot. Salary is based on working Monday to Friday 08:00 - 17:00 approx. You will be required to operate tail lifts and pallet trucks.
Duties
- Plan and follow efficient delivery schedules to meet deadlines
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations
- Secure cargo properly to prevent damage during transit
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery times and any unforeseen issues
- Adhere strictly to road safety laws, traffic regulations, and company policies at all times
- Assist with loading and unloading goods when necessary, ensuring proper handling procedures are followed
Skills
- Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices in commercial driving
- Excellent driving skills with a clean driving record
- Ability to navigate using GPS systems and maps efficiently
- Good organisational skills to manage schedules and paperwork accurately
- Physical fitness to handle loading/unloading tasks when required
- Ability to work independently, demonstrating responsibility and reliability in all tasks
New passes will be considered
Pay: Up to £720.00 per week
