About Us
Global Brand Supplies Limited is a growing FMCG wholesale and export business supplying branded consumer goods to UK and international customers. We are now looking for an experienced Warehouse Manager to help build, manage and improve our warehouse operation as the business enters its next stage of growth.
This is a key role for someone who is hands-on, commercially aware and capable of running a warehouse properly from day one. The successful candidate will oversee day-to-day warehouse operations, improve systems and processes, manage stock control, support goods in and goods out, and help grow our third-party storage, fulfilment and logistics business.
The Role
We are looking for a strong Warehouse Manager who can take ownership of the warehouse and make sure stock is received, stored, picked, checked, loaded and dispatched accurately and efficiently.
You will be responsible for maintaining high operational standards, reducing errors, improving workflow and supporting the wider business as we scale. This role would suit someone who has solid warehouse experience, strong forklift skills and experience loading and offloading containers, trailers and pallets.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all warehouse operations, including goods in, goods out, storage, stock control and dispatch
- Manage the loading and offloading of containers, trailers and vehicles
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently
- Ensure stock is checked, counted, labelled and stored correctly
- Maintain accurate stock records and support regular stock takes
- Set up and improve warehouse processes, systems and procedures
- Organise pallet racking, warehouse layout and picking areas
- Manage order picking, packing, checking and dispatch accuracy
- Work closely with the sales and purchasing team to ensure orders are fulfilled correctly
- Help reduce warehouse errors, damages and delays
- Maintain a clean, safe and organised warehouse environment
- Support the development of third-party storage, handling and fulfilment services
- Liaise with transport companies, drivers, customers and suppliers
- Ensure health and safety standards are followed at all times
- Train, supervise and support warehouse staff as the team grows
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years’ forklift experience
- Valid forklift licence required
- Experience loading and offloading containers is essential
- Strong experience in warehouse operations, ideally within FMCG, wholesale, distribution or logistics
- Good understanding of stock control and warehouse organisation
- Ability to manage goods in and goods out accurately
- Strong attention to detail
- Good communication and leadership skills
- Hands-on attitude and willingness to get involved in daily warehouse tasks
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Comfortable working in a growing business where systems and processes are being developed
- Good basic IT skills and ability to work with stock systems, spreadsheets or warehouse software
Desirable Experience
- Experience in FMCG wholesale or export
- Experience with pallet racking and warehouse layout planning
- Experience supporting third-party logistics, storage or fulfilment services
- Reach truck or counterbalance forklift experience
- Experience dealing with hauliers, containers, pallet networks and courier collections
- Knowledge of health and safety requirements in a warehouse environment
