Multi-Skilled Trade Operative – Full Time

Due to continued growth, we are currently looking for an experienced Multi-Skilled Trade Operative to join our team on a full-time basis.
This is a customer-facing role, representing both JH Contracts Ltd and our clients, so professionalism, communication, cleanliness, and attention to detail are essential. Much of our work is carried out within occupied properties, meaning operatives must be respectful, organised, and able to work to a high standard in live environments.
Required Skills & Experience
We are looking for an experienced and reliable tradesperson with strong all-round knowledge and proven experience within remedial and maintenance works. Candidates must be skilled in at least one of the following core trades:
- Carpentry & Joinery
- Bathroom fitting & tiling
- Painting & Decorating
- Plastering & plaster patching
- Plumbing
Experience within new-build customer care, occupied housing association properties, or refurbishment projects would be highly beneficial.
Key Responsibilities
As a Multi-Skilled Trade Operative, your duties will include:
- Carrying out remedial and refurbishment works within occupied properties
- 1st and 2nd fix joinery
- Diagnosing and rectifying creaking floors
- Installing and adjusting external doors and frames
- Bathroom refits and repairs
- Plaster patching and making good
- Painting and decorating works
- Silicone and sealant application
- Ensuring all works are completed to a high standard and within agreed timescales
- Maintaining van cleanliness, tools, and stock levels
- Completing job sheets and paperwork accurately and promptly
Candidate Requirements
The ideal candidate will:
- Have proven experience within a similar role
- Be able to work independently and problem solve on site
- Have excellent attention to detail and pride in their work
- Be professional and customer focused
- Hold a full UK driving licence
- Hold a valid CSCS card
