Candour Talent Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Machine Operative to join our well-established client based in the Ebbw Vale area.

Job Description:
This is a hands-on role within a heavy industrial manufacturing environment, supporting high-volume production operations. You will be based on the shop floor operating large-scale machinery, handling raw and processed materials, and contributing to the full manufacturing lifecycle. The role involves physically demanding tasks in a fast-paced setting, requiring a high level of attention to detail, process discipline, and strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operating and monitoring heavy industrial machinery and automated production lines
- Handling raw materials, including lead components and battery units
- Loading and unloading production lines
- Carrying out in-process quality inspections and reporting defects
- Maintaining machinery efficiency and identifying faults or downtime issues
- Following strict health & safety and environmental procedures
- Supporting continuous improvement and production targets
- Maintaining high housekeeping standards within an industrial setting
Requirements:
- Previous experience within an industrial, manufacturing, or factory environment preferred
- Comfortable working in a physically demanding role (manual handling, standing for long periods)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, noisy industrial environment
- Strong awareness of health & safety practices
- Willingness to work rotating DNA or continental shift patterns
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team
- Demanding PPE required
