Support work is different to working in a care or residential home.
In this role we have a variety of shifts available ranging from 2 hours to 24 hour shifts including sleeps
7am -10pm is paid at £12.21 per hour
Sleeps 10pm - 7am is paid at £8.72 per hour
Applicants must be flexible to work throughout the week including evenings, weekends and overnight sleeps.
You will be supporting people with a learning disability or autism who live in their own homes.
The majority of our clients are independent in many way, they just need some support with daily skills and staying safe.
You will be supporting our clients to live an active and fulfilled life.
An average week would include supporting someone to do the following:-
Banking / Budgeting
Menu planning and shopping
Household chores (cleaning / Laundry etc)
Preparing and cooking meals
Going to the pub / disco / cinema
Attending social groups or courses
Attending medical appointments and administering medication
Baking / arts and crafts / playing games
No two days are ever the same and our clients are always looking for new and exciting things to do in their life and to be active in the community.
If you have some life experience and are enthusiastic about helping other people then this could be the role for you.
