Metro Rod (Bristol) is a quality regional drain care and repair business and part of the national network of Metro Rod operations. We are seeking a General Assistant to work alongside and assist our Drainage Engineers in the field as they resolve drainage issues for our customers . This is a full-time vacancy and will involve you in supporting our engineers in providing a range of emergency and contracted services to both commercial and domestic customers across Bristol, Bath, Somerset and West Wiltshire.
You will need to be able to:
- Generally assist our engineers to carry out a range of services associated with the cleaning, clearance, repair and maintenance of our customer’s drains
- Be prepared to work hard in all weathers, to be flexible and reliable
- Deliver a high standard of customer service and technical expertise
- Operate in accordance with H&S and Quality procedures
- Help maintain standard of company service vehicle and equipment
- Accurately record work details via internal and client systems
- Communicate effectively with clients and Metro Rod Support Centre colleagues to ensure excellent customer service is provided at all times
You will
- Have a positive can-do attitude
- Be flexible in your working hours (including time “on call” out-of-hours)
- Ideally have relevant experience
- Groundworks experience would be desirable
- Hold a full driving licence
