Elliott Baxter & Co Ltd (EBB) is the UK and Ireland’s leading independent paper and board supplier. We’re looking for a professional Class 2 HGV Driver/Warehouse Operative to join our friendly team in Newcastle.
What You’ll Do
- Drive a Class 2 vehicle delivering paper and board to customers across the local area.
- Handle multi-drop deliveries safely and efficiently.
- Securely load, strap, and unload your vehicle.
- Complete vehicle checks, maintain tacho and delivery records, and follow driver hours regulations.
- Communicate with depot teams to ensure on-time, accurate deliveries.
- Represent EBB with professionalism and excellent customer service at every stop.
- Operate a forklift truck safely for loading/unloading and moving stock
What we’re looking for:
- Valid Counterbalance forklift licence and experience (essential)
- VNA experience/licence preferable but not essential
- Reliable team player with strong attention to detail
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Comfortable with manual handling
- Previous warehouse experience is highly desirable.
- Pick, scan, and prepare orders accurately
- Keep the warehouse safe, clean, and organised
- Complete simple documentation and follow company procedures
- Support the team with safe and efficient distribution
- Valid Class 2 (Category C) Licence
- Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
- Minimum 1 year’s HGV driving experience preferred
- Clean driving record
- Confident with multi-drop routes and vehicle safety checks
- Team player, reliable, and self-motivated
- Experience handling goods or working in a food-safe environment preferred
