Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Head Chef and/or Sous Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing food preparation, managing kitchen operations, and ensuring the delivery of exceptional dining experiences. Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise kitchen staff, ensuring high standards of food quality and safety.
- Oversee daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation.
- Manage food production processes to ensure timely delivery of dishes during service hours.
- Develop and implement innovative menus in collaboration with management.
- Maintain strict adherence to food safety regulations and hygiene standards.
- Train and mentor team members to enhance their culinary skills and professional development.
- Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and control costs effectively.
- Ensure the kitchen is organised, clean, and compliant with health and safety legislation.
Experience
- Proven supervisory experience within a professional kitchen environment, ideally in a restaurant or hospitality setting.
- Extensive culinary experience with a strong background in food preparation and cooking techniques.
- Demonstrable leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team efficiently.
- In-depth knowledge of food safety standards and regulations.
- Experience in menu development and food presentation.
- Familiarity with restaurant operations, serving procedures, and customer service excellence.
