Responsibilities
- Lead the development and implementation of financial strategies aligned with organisational goals.
- Oversee financial management activities including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable processes to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Conduct detailed financial analysis to identify cost control opportunities and optimise expenditure.
- Ensure compliance with statutory regulations and internal policies related to financial services.
- Prepare detailed financial statements and reports for senior management and stakeholders.
- Supervise and mentor finance team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
- Coordinate external audits and liaise with auditors to ensure transparency and accuracy in financial reporting.
- Monitor cash flow, manage banking relationships, and oversee investment activities as required.
- Implement robust internal controls to safeguard organisational assets.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in financial management, including leadership roles within similar organisations.
- Strong background in financial accounting, planning, and reporting standards.
- Extensive knowledge of financial services regulations and compliance requirements.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and influence organisational change.
- Proficiency in financial software systems and advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Relevant professional qualifications such as ACA, ACCA, or CIMA are highly desirable.
- Ability to work under pressure whilst maintaining high standards of integrity and confidentiality.
