Whirlybird is growing.
Following a hugely successful launch in Edinburgh’s Old Town, we’re looking for two strong Chef de Partie's to join our kitchen team as we continue to build one of the city’s most exciting modern hospitality venues. One position is full time and the other part time ranging 35-45hrs depending.
This is not a replacement role — it’s an additional position because the business is busy, growing, and building momentum quickly.
Whirlybird is a modern tavern: relaxed, design-led, ingredient-focused and quietly Scottish. We work with excellent produce and aim to create the kind of restaurant we’d genuinely want to spend time in ourselves. The kitchen is ambitious but grounded — quality without ego.
We’re looking for someone who:
- Has solid experience as a CDP in a quality-led kitchen
- Is calm, organised and reliable under pressure
- Takes pride in consistency and clean service
- Wants to be part of building something with long-term potential
- Has a genuine interest in food, produce and hospitality
- Brings a good attitude and works well within a tight-knit team
