Jacqueline’s Gems Childcare Services is seeking an enthusiastic, passionate, and dedicated individuals to join our fantastic team in Bexley. We currently have exciting opportunities for:
Childcare Operative
Hours:
Before & After School Club - All Year Round
Monday to Friday
5.5hrs per day - 7:00am – 9:00am and 3:00pm – 6:30pm (term time hours) 5.5hrs per day - with the possibility of overtime (holiday periods)
Nursery Provision - All Year Round
Monday to Friday
7.5hrs per day - dependent on location
Qualifications:
Experience in childcare or an educational setting is desirable but not essential. Full training will be provided for the right candidate. Salary is dependent on experience and qualifications.

- Are committed to providing high standards of care and safeguarding
Previous experience in childcare, education, playwork, or a related setting is desirable but not essential, as full training and ongoing support will be provided for the right candidates.
Key Responsibilities
As a Childcare Operative, you will:
- Provide high-quality care and supervision for children attending our provisions.
- Create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment where every child feels valued and supported.
- Plan, prepare, and deliver a range of engaging activities that promote children's learning, development, creativity, and wellbeing.
- Build positive relationships with children, parents/carers and colleagues.
- Support children's emotional, social, and physical development through positive interactions and encouragement.
- Ensure safeguarding procedures are followed at all times, maintaining the welfare and protection of all children in your care.
- Adhere to all Health & Safety, food hygiene, and company policies and procedures.
- Assist with daily operational duties, including setting up and clearing away activities, snack preparation, and maintaining a clean and organised environment.
- Observe, monitor, and report any concerns relating to children's welfare, development, or behaviour.
- Promote positive behaviour and support children in developing confidence, independence, and self-esteem.
- Participate in training, team meetings, and professional development opportunities.
