Job Title – Class 2 HGV Driver
Temporary 6 month contract
Working Hours - Monday - Friday with occasional Saturday work
Location – Mellor Brook, Lancashire
Monks Contractors are waste specialists - we provide haulage and waste specification plant hire to the waste industry. We also have a high pressure water drain jetting team, civil contracting team, plant repair, hire and sales
Responsible to: Transport Supervisor
As a Class 2 HGV Driver, you will be responsible for collecting waste / recyclable materials from our customers and delivering this to the requested sites in the North West. You will drive and operate a Roll on Roll off vehicle using safe and efficient driving techniques in line with the customers’ requirements.
Responsible for;
· Safe operation of unloading and loading of your vehicle
· Carrying out the necessary daily vehicle driver checks
· Observing health and safety requirements
· be responsible for the safety of self and members of the public
· Geographical knowledge to ensure efficient and effective travelling
Essential Requirements;
· Class 2 HGV Driving License
· You will work on a shift pattern of 4 days on 4 days off, which will include weekends
· You will be required to commit to overtime as and when the business needs
· Full CPC obtained
· Experience of using a Digital Tachograph Card
· Working knowledge of Driving Regulations and The Working Time Directive
· Enthusiastic and committed
· Understanding of Health and Safety obligations
· The ability to work under pressure and actively seek solutions to problems
· Have a flexible approach to suit the business
Pay: £14.00 per hour
