Sales Advisor – Scotch Whisky Retail (Edinburgh)
We are an established and growing Scotch whisky retail business, operating for over 15 years with 7 stores across Edinburgh and St Andrews. Due to continued success, we are looking for enthusiastic and motivated Sales Advisors to join our Edinburgh team on a part-time or full-time basis. This is an exciting opportunity to work within the Scotch whisky industry in a fast-paced and rewarding retail environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver exceptional customer service and provide expert advice on Scotch whisky
- Assist customers with purchases and offer tailored recommendations
- Actively upsell and maximise sales opportunities
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships to support repeat business
- Replenish stock and maintain high store presentation standards
- Handle cash and process transactions accurately
- Support general day-to-day store operationsRequirements:
- Previous experience in a specialist retail or sales environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A genuine interest and knowledge of Scotch whisky (essential)
- Knowledge of other premium products (e.g. gin, rum, wine, craft beer, cigars) is advantageous
Working Hours: Flexible working across a 7-day week is essential
- Part-time: typically 1–3 days per week
- Full-time: typically 4–6 days per week
Salary: Starting from minimum wage plus commission
