OJob Title: HGV Class 2 Driver Loader

Hours: Tuesday – Friday, 6:00am – 3:45pm
About the Role
We’re currently recruiting on behalf of a local council in Cardiff for an experienced and reliable HGV Class 2 Driver Loader. This role involves driving refuse and recycling vehicles, as well as assisting with loading duties across various routes. It’s an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys active, outdoor work and takes pride in keeping the community clean and safe.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive and operate Class 2 HGV vehicles on assigned routes
- Assist loading crews with the collection of waste and recycling
- Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any defects
- Adhere to all health & safety procedures and operational policies
- Provide excellent service to residents and local businesses
Requirements
- Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence
- CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
- Previous experience in waste or recycling operations preferred
- Good knowledge of Cardiff and surrounding areas beneficial
- Ability to work well within a team and follow instructions
