Starting in July 2025, we are recruiting for the following position within our small 4 bed residential service in Trecynon, Aberdare and working on a six-week rolling rota with every other weekend off:
Support Worker
38 Hours Per Week (£30,628 per annum) - pay award pending
Applicants will need to be over 18 and hold a full clean driving licence (manual vehicles)
As we work with vulnerable adults, all positions are subject to an enhanced DBS disclosure and registration on the update service, for which PRESS cover all costs.
You will be able to work on rota providing cover 365 days of the year, including evenings and weekends.
You will have good written skills and attention to detail as you will be administering medication, completing written records and monitoring changes in service user’s health and wellbeing on a daily basis.
Applicants will need to be confident and willing to support individuals to access the community on a consistent basis, to undertake shopping, attend educational classes, access paid or voluntary work, participate in social and leisure activities and so forth.
A relevant qualification is desirable, although not essential as training will be provided, you will need to be reliable, flexible and enthusiastic, with a willingness to undertake training and to develop within the role.
