Job Summary
We're therefore looking for an Assistant Manager with a strong background in pub management, combining both cask and keg products.
The Haus on the Hill is a vibrant community pub in the heart of the Hanover area. We're also one of Brighton's leading craft beer pubs with over 25 lines and have a delicious kitchen serving some of the best roasts in the city!
You must have experience in a pub AM position, including management of staff, experience of rota management, ordering and cellar management experience cleaning and changing both cask and keg beers.
The pub has a 2 function rooms upstairs that are used for events and parties, you should also therefore have the experience and confidence to manage bookings and proactively deal with customer enquiries.
You should therefore have:
Qualifications
- Proven AM (or senior) experience in a craft beer or similar pub setting.
- Experience opening and closing a pub, overseeing SOPs and ensuring the correct running of a venue.
- Cellar management experience.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a shift and junior colleagues effectively.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with both staff and customers.
- A passion for beer and an understanding of various styles and flavour profiles.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
