I am working with a market-leading Employment, Pensions and Immigration team that is looking to appoint an experienced Employment Solicitor to join its Manchester office.
This is an excellent opportunity for an employment specialist to work with high-profile UK employers, handling complex matters while playing a key role in mentoring junior colleagues and contributing to the continued growth of a highly regarded team.
The Role:
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Managing a varied caseload of complex Employment Tribunal claims, including multi-day hearings
- Conducting advocacy in the Employment Tribunal, with regular opportunities to appear
- Providing high-level employment law advice to key employer clients
- Supervising and strategically overseeing the work of junior solicitors and support staff
- Supporting business development initiatives, including training sessions and networking
- Working to agreed client and internal service level agreements (SLAs)
- Producing monthly and ad-hoc management information (MI) reports
- Achieving agreed financial and chargeable hours targets
About You:
This role would suit an employment solicitor who can demonstrate:
- 5+ years’ PQE in employment law
- Strong technical expertise and commercial awareness
- A genuine interest in advocacy (tribunal experience preferred)
- Excellent teamwork, communication and leadership skills
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines
- A flexible and proactive approach to workload and client needs
